Overview

Sa Pa is a tourist destination located about 30 km from the center of Lao Cai city. Situated at an average altitude of 1500 – 1800 meters above sea level, Sa Pa Town is always shrouded in floating clouds, creating a strangely beautiful mystical picture. This place has an invaluable resource, which is a cool and fresh climate all year round, with an average temperature of 15-18°C.

Children:

  • Children from 1-4 years old are free (parents cover all costs for the child, no seat on the bus).

  • 02 adults can only accompany 01 free child, from the second child onwards, 75% of the tour price is charged (same standards as charged children).

  • Children from 5-9 years old are charged 75% of the tour price (separate meal, separate seat on the bus but must share a bed with parents).

  • 02 charged children do not have separate bed standards.

  • Children from 10 years old are charged as adults.

Schedule

DAY 1: HANOI - MAI CHAU - MOC CHAU (LUNCH, DINNER)
  • 06:30: The bus and tour guide will pick you up in the Old Quarter and Opera House area. The bus will stop on the way at the Xuan Mai area for you to have breakfast on your own.

  • 10:00: Stop at Thung Khe Pass to take photos and enjoy the majestic mountain scenery of Hoa Binh.

  • 11:00: Arrive in Mai Chau, where you can take an electric car (self-paid) to explore the Mai Chau valley. Visit the small stilt houses of the Thai people to learn about their unique culture, visit brocade stalls, learn how to weave brocade from the Thai people, and buy souvenirs. After that, you are free to cycle or walk around, shop, and take photos.

  • 12:00: Have lunch at the village. After lunch, the group will continue to Moc Chau.

  • 14:30: The tour guide will take you to visit the following places:

    • Heart-shaped tea hill, which is not only the most beautiful tea hill in the Moc Chau Plateau but also the most beautiful tea hill in Vietnam with lush green tea rows that stretch as far as the eye can see, creating a romantic and peaceful feeling. This is also the raw material area for producing the famous Oolong tea brand.

    • Ban Ang pine forest is like a miniature Da Lat on the Moc Chau Plateau. Here, you can rent a bicycle or take a horse-drawn carriage to relax and enjoy the scenery around Ban Ang Lake. Or simply climb the pine hills, rest, and regain balance after the hustle and bustle of city life.

    • The Tay Tien monument, listen and learn about the Tay Tien road of the past and the Vietnam-Laos friendship during the resistance years (self-paid entrance fee).

  • 18:00: Have dinner at the restaurant, then return to the hotel to check in and rest. In the evening, you are free to explore the Moc Chau Plateau. Overnight in Moc Chau.

DAY 2: MOC CHAU - DIEN BIEN (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)
  • 06:00: Check out, have breakfast, and depart for Dien Bien. On the way, you will conquer and stop to take photos at the top of Pha Din Pass - one of the four great passes of the North.

  • 12:00: Arrive in Tuan Giao for lunch. After lunch, continue to Dien Bien.

  • 15:00: Visit the following places:

    • Visit De Castries' bunker, the workplace and command post of General Christian de Castries, then continue to visit and take photos with Muong Thanh Bridge and Nam Rom River.

    • A1 Hill, where the fierce battle of the past took place.

    • Visit the Dien Bien Victory Monument.

  • 18:00: Have dinner at the restaurant or you can arrange to have dinner and enjoy cultural performances at Ban Men - the village of the Black Thai people (self-paid performance fee). Overnight in Dien Bien.

DAY 3: DIEN BIEN - SAPA (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)
  • 06:30: Check out of the hotel, have breakfast, and depart for Sapa. On the way, you will stop to rest and take photos in Muong Lay town with the layers of stilt houses of the Black Thai people. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Nam Na River on the way.

  • 12:00: Have lunch in Phong Tho town.

  • 13:00: Continue the journey to Sapa. Experience the O Quy Ho Pass - the longest pass among the four great passes of the North, connecting Lai Chau and Lao Cai. The photo stop is at the boundary between the two provinces, also known as O Quy Ho Heaven Gate, with majestic mountain scenery.

  • 16:00: Arrive in Sapa, check into the hotel, and rest.

  • 18:00: Have dinner. In the evening, you are free to explore and take photos of bustling Sapa at night. Sit together and enjoy delicious grilled specialties with a bit of San Lung wine from Sapa. Overnight in Sapa.

DAY 4: SAPA - FANSIPAN - CAT CAT (BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER)
  • 06:30: Have breakfast. After breakfast, the bus and guide will take you to Fansipan Cable Car Station to start the journey to conquer Fansipan by the world's most modern 3-wire cable car system with cabins that can accommodate 30 to 35 tourists. Then continue to conquer 600 stone steps to the top of Fansipan at an altitude of 3,143m - the roof of Indochina (self-paid cable car ticket).

  • 10:00: Return to Sapa. Rest.

  • 11:30: Have lunch at the restaurant.

  • Afternoon: The bus will take you to visit Cat Cat village to learn about the daily life of the H'mong ethnic people, visit Tien Sa waterfall, also known as the Hydroelectric waterfall because the French once built a small hydroelectric plant here to provide electricity for the area. Here, you can also enjoy traditional art performances at the old hydroelectric plant.

  • 18:00: Have dinner. After dinner, you are free to explore and take photos of bustling Sapa at night. Sit together and enjoy delicious grilled specialties with a bit of San Lung wine from Sapa. On Saturday nights, you can also enjoy traditional art performances in Sapa. Overnight in Sapa.

DAY 5: SAPA - BAC HA - HANOI (BREAKFAST / LUNCH)
  • Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel, then check out.

  • 07:00: The bus will pick you up at the hotel and depart for Bac Ha. Bac Ha market takes place on Sunday mornings. This is a market gathering of many different ethnic groups such as H'mong, Black Dao, Tay, Nung, La Chi, Phu La, and some other ethnic groups from surrounding areas to buy, sell, exchange goods, and also a place to meet and get to know each other. The market is divided into many areas such as buffalo market, cow market, goat market, bird market, and many other types of goods. The market only operates from around 7 AM until mid-afternoon.

  • 10:00: Arrive in Bac Ha, visit Bac Ha market, and immerse yourself in the bustling and joyful atmosphere of the market, while testing your shopping skills with the locals.

  • 11:30: Have lunch at the restaurant. You can also enjoy the special local dish Thang Co with famous Bac Ha corn wine.

  • 12:30: After lunch, the bus will take you to visit Ban Pho, walk around the village of the H'mong Hoa, Tay, and Nung people. After visiting Ban Pho, continue to Lao Cai. Then continue to Hanoi.

  • 21:30: Arrive in Hanoi. End of the program. See you again!

General rules

Tour price includes:

  • Tourist car from 7 to 29 seats (depending on the number of guests) serving according to the program

  • 04 nights hotel, 02 guests/room (in case of odd number, 3 guests will share a room)

    • In Moc Chau: standard hotel

    • In Dien Bien: 2-star hotel

    • In Sapa: 3-star hotel

  • 09 main meals according to the program, at 100,000 VND/meal.

  • 04 breakfasts at 30,000 VND/meal or according to the hotel's standard (depending on the hotel)

  • Entrance tickets to all points in the program (excluding Fansipan cable car ticket)

  • Free bottled water on the car, standard 01 bottle of 500ml/person/day

  • Tour guide serving the group according to the program

  • Travel insurance with a maximum compensation of 20,000,000 VND/case.

Notes:

  • Guests must bring: legal identification documents (ID card or Passport)

  • Guests should bring: insect repellent, common cold medicine, toothbrush, toothpaste, and personal towels if necessary, as living conditions and service quality vary in each province.

  • Vegetarian guests should bring additional vegetarian food to ensure their taste.

  • Any service in the tour that guests do not use will not be refunded.

  • Guests registering for tours from April to November should bring cool and lightweight clothing.

  • The tour guide has the right to rearrange the order of sightseeing points to suit the conditions of each specific departure day but still ensures all sightseeing points in the program.

  • In case the departure day has 6 guests or less, the driver can also act as a tour guide. These are very experienced drivers who understand local culture.

  • Absolutely do not bring bulky, oversized luggage. It is recommended to bring a backpack instead of a hard suitcase.

  • In case a guest travels alone and we cannot arrange a shared room, they must pay a single room fee of 50% of the room rate/night throughout the tour program.
