THANH TIEN, SINH, TIEN NON, THUY BIEU, CRAFT TRADITITIONS & ORIGINAL VILLAGES

08:00 Embarking on boat for cruise along the poetic Perfume River.  You will see daily activities of the inhabitants on the shores of beautiful original scenery. Boarding at the old wharf Vinh Bao and local market. Bao vinh was a very important sea port of hue in 17th century. Most of old houses in this village were massively destructed. Nowadays, the regional council of Pas de Calais has funded to restore 5 old houses over 200 years old.

08:30 Keep biking to Sinh village- a bout 9 km east of hue city located in Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue’s province. This village is famous for have been as well-known as Dong Ho folk painting dating more than 4 centuries.

09:00 Ride to Thanh Tien village, visits the house of the painter Than Van Huy to learn cultural characteristics of a traditional house of Hue’s people with typical architecture of geomancy. Thanh Tien paper flower village hasn’t only brought bright colors and spiritual beauty to family in Hue every New Year but also features a unique village culture in the ancient capital, Hue.

10:00 Come back on the boat for a cruise along the poetic Perfume River you can see a pavilion that the King and royal family had used to have bath.  You also experience the daily life of local people as well as contemplate the beauty of landscapes and fill your heart and mind with fresh air. Main destination of our journey is the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda (Heavenly Lady Pagoda) which was built in 1601-The symbol of Hue city.

Continue your trip to Thuy bieu village which is the cradle of Hue’s culture. Thuy Bieu is about 6 km from the city center and still intently maintaining the tradition.

 Then you will be warmly welcomed by a local family and enjoy a cup of green tea before visiting one of three most ancient houses.

Keep cycling toward Thuy Bieu Village along verdant paths; you can see local people’s daily life. Thuy Bieu Village has been well-known with its immense grapefruit gardens, which are really different from other species that you could see in Viet Nam. It’s smaller but sweeter and known under the name of Thanh Tra people which was only provided for the Royal Family. Have a nice biking and walking tour around quiet Thuy Bieu Village, feeling the comfortable vibes in a friendly air of local life. While biking , taking short stop in schools, communal houses, ancient temples and especially the garden house - Its housing architecture is typical of Hue and the Nguyen dynasty with small cottages hidden in large luxuriant gardens, long gates and fences carved out of ornamental trees. Thuy Bieu is a hidden gem of untouched nature and culture in Vietnam. Then continuing to bike through the 2 most famous pristine hamlets Nguyet Bieu and Luong Quan where you can contemplate lush greens and its laid back lifestyle.

12:00 Arriving Thuy Bieu to a local house for cooking class, you will prepare lunch by yourself with our chief’s instruction to make Hue’s specialties. Then you will have lunch with the Hue’s traditional specialities that you have just cooked.

13:00 Relax by steeping your foot in medicinal herb water – a traditional therapeutic practice.
