DONG GIANG ETHINIC MINITORY TOUR
Dong Giang, Nam Giang are the highland of Quang Nam, on the East of Hoi An, 90 km away from Hoi an by hill road and 3 hours driving by car. The trip will give you a chance to discover the new land, negleted natural mighty mountains, a part of the Ho Chi Minh trails – the legend road during Viet Nam war.

PROGRAM:
07:30 – Depart from Da Nang/Hoi An with your guide and driver. Journey westward to explore the majestic forests stretching into the horizon, and discover the unique cultural life and traditional handicrafts of the Co Tu ethnic minority living in the Truong Son mountain range.
09:00 – Visit the Dong Giang Tea Farm (Quyet Thang Farmtea), the largest tea plantation in Central Vietnam with a total area of 2,100 hectares and an annual output of 800 tons. Enjoy the refreshing air and stunning views over the endless green tea hills.
09:30 – Follow the Kon River to Ta Vac Village, home to the Co Tu people. Cross a suspension bridge into the village, where stilt houses lean against the mountainside and warm smiles welcome you. The friendly locals with curious, sparkling eyes are always eager to meet visitors.
11:00 – Explore Droong Village, famous for its traditional brocade weaving. Engage with the villagers and learn more about their daily life and ancestral crafts.
12:00 – Arrive at Bho Hoong Village and enjoy a rustic local lunch featuring mountain delicacies: bamboo-tube rice, roasted meat in bamboo cylinders, forest vegetables, stream fish, “Cuot” cakes, and local wines like Ruou Can, Tavak, or Trdin wine.
13:00 – Take a relaxing walk around Bho Hoong Village, where over 300 Co Tu residents live. More than half the population still practices traditional brocade weaving and bamboo basketry. The village also preserves and displays Co Tu cultural artifacts, traditional architecture, and heritage spaces.
14:30 – Begin the return journey to Da Nang, with scenic stops for photography along the way.
18:00 – Arrive back at your hotel in Da Nang or Hoi An. End of tour.
