The "Wonderful Da Nang 2020" festival promises to be spectacular after the pandemic

(Dan Tri) - Depending on the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic being controlled, the "Amazing Đà Nẵng 2020" festival will be held for 3 months from June to September, with the peak week falling in the second half of July.

On April 17, the People's Committee of Đà Nẵng City issued a document approving the proposal of the city's Department of Tourism to organize the "Amazing Đà Nẵng 2020" festival during the mentioned period, based on the actual situation, developments of Covid-19, and the policies and guidelines of the central and local governments.

According to the city's Department of Tourism, the "Amazing Đà Nẵng 2020" festival is an upgraded event from the "Summer Rendezvous" program, which was previously held annually around June in Đà Nẵng. "Amazing Đà Nẵng 2020" is expected to be a highlight to stimulate the city's tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic is controlled; promoting Đà Nẵng as a destination with new and unique tourism products, "rekindling" the love of tourists for the famous central coastal city with its attractive landscapes, cultural identity, cuisine, and regional specialties for visitors to explore and experience.

According to the program plan, the festival is expected to be held for 3 months, from June to September, with many exciting activities at tourist beach areas, city centers, and tourist spots in the area.

The peak week of the festival will be in the second half of July, with specific timing to be proposed by the city's tourism department after Vietnam announces the end of the Covid-19 pandemic. During the peak week of the festival, residents and visitors to Đà Nẵng are promised to experience many unique cultural and tourism activities: an EDM music festival themed "Awakening Summer," a bikini flashmob performance on the beach themed "The Blue Sea Calls," beach art installations themed "Revival on the Sand," and a Vietnamese food festival.

Additionally, there will be 14 supporting activities and 5 other activities accompanying the "Amazing Đà Nẵng 2020" festival, including programs: opening the Đà Nẵng beach tourism season 2020; orchestral music performances, basket boat racing competitions on the sea; and a coastal festival.
